An Unforgettable Celebration: Jenny & Steve's Magical Wedding at Brampton's Millennium Garden Banquet CentreLove, laughter, and joy filled the air as DJ XTC Entertainment had the immense pleasure of being part of Jenny and Steve's enchanting wedding at the stunning Millennium Garden Banquet Centre in Brampton. From the heartfelt ceremony to the lively reception, every moment was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will be treasured for a lifetime. Millennium Garden Banquet Centre served as the perfect backdrop for Jenny and Steve's special day. With its elegant ambiance and versatile space, the venue allowed for a seamless flow of the entire celebration, from the romantic ceremony to the delightful cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. The convenience of having everything in one room created a warm and intimate atmosphere that brought their loved ones even closer together.
The grand entrance announcement was a truly memorable moment. Jenny and Steve's friend, Scott, took the stage and cheered them in like hockey stars, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. The room erupted with applause and cheers as the newlyweds made their grand entrance, setting the tone for an evening filled with celebration and joy. A touch of magic was added to the couple's first dance with the venue's provision of dry sparklers. As Jenny and Steve gracefully swayed to their chosen song, the room was adorned with the enchanting glow of sparklers, creating a truly unforgettable and romantic moment that left everyone in awe. The music was expertly curated by our talented DJ XTC (Neal), who brought his vintage style and exceptional skills to the dance floor. From timeless classics to contemporary hits, Neal's playlist had everyone on their feet, dancing and creating lifelong memories. The dance floor was alive with energy, laughter, and pure happiness throughout the night. The floral arrangements by Euro Flowers were a visual delight. Their expert craftsmanship and artistry added elegance and beauty to the celebration. Each bloom and arrangement perfectly complemented the venue, creating an enchanting atmosphere that reflected Jenny and Steve's unique style and love story. The wedding cake, crafted by the talented team at Just Temptations, was not only a masterpiece to behold but a delight to the taste buds. The couple and their guests were treated to a delectable creation that perfectly symbolized their love and commitment. The attention to detail and exceptional taste of Just Temptations elevated the culinary experience and added a touch of sweetness to the evening. A wedding date is one of the first and most important choices you’ll make about your big day. Thankfully, there’s no “correct” date to get married. There’s only the one that’s right for you! Here are a few things to keep in mind as you pick out the perfect time: Your Budget
To keep your spending in check, be sure to set a budget before booking your venue. Once you've established your finances, you can look at venues and wedding packages that fit within your limit. This helps you determine a date that’s perfect for the location you’re getting married. For example, if the venue that’s within your price range is only available in the fall, then it looks like you’ll be having a beautiful autumn wedding! Seasons Keep in mind that wedding venues typically offer discounts to couples who get married off-season or on certain days of the week. These are dates during which your venue is less busy or “less optimal,” and therefore less expensive. For most venues, the late winter months will be the least expensive for a ceremony. Weekdays also tend to be the most affordable days to get married. So if you’re really trying to save money, a Monday in February is probably going to be your best friend! (Unless it’s Valentine’s Day of course.) If your venue doesn't offer a discount for these dates, you should still ask about their costs. You may be able to negotiate a lower price. Planning Time Also consider how long you’ll spend planning your wedding. Some couples prefer to have more time on their hands than others. If you have plenty of time to plan, you may want to consider a late-season date to minimize the costs of hiring a wedding planner and choosing more expensive vendors. On the other hand, if your time is limited, you may want to choose an early-season date so you have more time to plan and book vendors within your budget. Holiday Dates When choosing a wedding date, consider the things that matter to you as a couple. For example, if you plan on having a large wedding celebration, you may want to choose a wedding date near a holiday so you can include more friends and family in the festivities. (It’s more likely they’ll have time off work during a holiday.) That said, the cost of travel can skyrocket during the holidays, so be mindful of your and your loved ones’ budgets. Remember: Your wedding date is YOUR decision at the end of the day, all the decisions you make about your wedding are personal—including the day on which you choose to get married. This is the date you’ll be celebrating for the rest of your life, so choose something that’s meaningful to you during the time of year you enjoy most. There’s no rush to get hitched when you plan to be together forever, so take your time selecting a time and location that’s perfect for you and your love. DJ XTC Entertainment guarantees your Toronto wedding will be a day you’ll forever cherish. Contact us here now! As the date of your awards ceremony draws closer, start thinking about booking a professional DJ. A DJ can help create a great atmosphere and get everyone in the mood to celebrate. They can also provide valuable assistance with announcements and keep the event running smoothly. When booking a professional DJ for your awards ceremony, there are a few things you’ll need to keep in mind. Here are a few tips to help you get started! Determine Your BudgetThis is one of the most important factors when booking a DJ, as it will dictate who you can afford.
Get an idea of how much you’re willing to spend before beginning your search.
For example, do you want Top 40 hits? EDM? Hip-hop? Before beginning your search, make sure you know what type of music you want.
It’s also important to consider the size of the venue. It’s best if your DJ uses modern equipment to accommodate your needs.
This will give you a good idea of what to expect from each DJ. Ask for references and check out their online reviews to understand what others have thought about their work.
If you follow these tips, you’ll be sure to find the perfect DJ for your awards ceremony. Just remember to take your time, research, and ensure you’re comfortable with your decision before booking anyone. And DJ XTC Entertainment would love to do the honours! When it comes to wedding planning, there are a lot of important decisions to make. And one of the most important choices you’ll have to make is whether or not to hire a DJ offering extra services and perks! While some couples choose to forgo this expense, hiring such a DJ can save you money in the long run. How, you ask? Here’s why!
For example, they can handle all the set-up and tear-down so you can enjoy your wedding day without worrying about setting up or taking down any equipment. A professional DJ will care for everything so you can relax and enjoy your special day!
For example, a DJ offering lighting services will know how to set the mood with music and lighting. They can even help to coordinate other elements of your wedding décor. It’s another way to ensure your wedding day will be everything you have always dreamed of!
When you hire a professional DJ with unique wedding packages, rest assured your wedding day will be one to remember. When planning your wedding, you may be wondering if it’s a good idea to have a bar close to the dance floor. There are pros and cons to this, so it’s important to weigh them carefully before making a final decision. Below are a few reasons why we believe this may or may not be a good idea for your wedding. Have a read before you decide what you do.
This can help keep the party going and prevent guests from getting too thirsty. Additionally, having a bar nearby can encourage guests to stay on the dance floor longer.
Ultimately, whether or not you have a bar close to the dance floor is a decision that depends on your specific wedding and what you feel will be best for your guests. If you’re not sure, it’s always a good idea to consult with a professional wedding planner who can give you more guidance on this matter. And if you’re not sure who to hire for a day filled with sweet music and unique entertainment, DJ XTC Entertainment would love to talk to you! We’re not bragging when we call ourselves Toronto’s best wedding DJs; that is just a simple fact. We’re industry experts who perpetually exceed client expectations and place quality entertainment services and above everything else. Many couples share special love songs while others opt for classical music or traditional jigs and reels. But regardless of what they choose, there are always songs that best encapsulate each moment. Listed for you below are some of the most popular songs used during wedding moments!
to your partner. It’s a lovely song that we believe all your guests will know. “Here Comes the Bride” (Traditional). This is arguably the most famous wedding song ever. We all know it. And it’s another excellent choice, especially if you’re having a Christian wedding.
the most famous rendition is probably the one by Englebert Humperdink. It’s a beautiful song to play while the wedding party walks down the aisle.
you are signing your register or if it’s a religious ceremony where vows are exchanged “Can you feel the love tonight” Elton John. this is another emotional and touching wedding song and would be perfect for when you exchange rings. “At Last,” Etta James. Like the two songs listed above, “At Last” is a song many people know. It will be great for a religious ceremony and when you’re signing your register.
you’re in the reception venue after the ceremony. It has an upbeat tone, which is precisely what’s needed if you want to end the party on a high note! Do any of these songs catch your fancy? Or do you want something less common, more unique, and personalized to match your taste? DJ XTC Entertainment will be happy to oblige! We’re a team of professional wedding DJs playing sweet tunes and rocking weddings in Toronto! We have a knack for transforming even the simplest weddings into incredible affairs that remain with the couple for a long time to come! So, click here to contact us, and let’s get started planning your wedding! There are many reasons to choose a wedding DJ over a band. You might think ‘why?’ or you might think a ‘dance floor with lots of people and good music equals the best party ever!’ Well, we’re here to tell you why hiring a DJ gives you so many more options than hiring a band for your big day *Flexibility With Time and Money
You can choose a DJ to play during your ceremony and reception. You can also hire them for just the wedding reception. You can even hire a team of DJs, who will co-ordinate their sets and share one source of high-quality sound (and you won’t have to pay for two bands!). If you are on a tight budget, hiring a DJ to play at the ceremony and reception will cost less than having an eightpiece band. *Flexibility With Space If you are getting married outside, depending on the location, there may be music amplification limits or noise restrictions. You should also research how much space you would have if you were considering a band. Sometimes having a 12 piece band won’t work with the space you have at your venue. If you are having your ceremony indoors, the band might not be able to rig their speakers and amps in an aesthetically pleasing or safe way for all those involved. With DJs, there is no need to worry about this! It also means the DJ can play music from any location – inside or out. *Flexibility With Music Style With a band, you need to know the kind of music they play and ensure it aligns with what your guest will enjoy. DJs are more versatile, there is hardly ever a need to worry if various music genres will be played. A DJ will have the people smiling. Your guests will have a great time because there is no pressure for them to be dancing all the time. And, if you hire an experienced DJ, they’ll know exactly what music to play for things like bouquet and garter tosses to go smoothly. It isn't uncommon for a DJ and a band to be used together – which is fantastic which covers both style of entertainment. DJ XTC Entertainment are Toronto’s premier wedding DJs and entertainers. Our team boasts several talented and professional wedding DJs. All you need to do is click here to contact us! And happy new year to all of you happy couples!

Music To Play At Your ReceptionWe can’t emphasize how important it is to have a great music at your wedding. Even if you have the most elaborate wedding day timeline, your guests will still have time to socialize before the ceremony, during cocktails and over dinner. But that also means they can get bored of those down times; don’t let this happen. Instead, please work with your DJ to develop a wedding playlist that will keep them thoroughly entertained! For the pre-ceremony, keep the music light. You can save the main party songs for later. Take a tour of your wedding venue to see what they have and what they don’t have. This is necessary because many wedding venues now have sound systems which means your DJ won't need to bring one. With that being said, the songs below are two that were released within the last five years and the third is a classic. They would be great additions to your wedding reception playlist! *Raise Your Glass (Pink)
This song was inspired by a personal encounter and is excellent for same-sex unions. The song claims that anything is possible. It’s a celebration for people who feel different; left out from the crowd. Pink says love is possible between anyone and everyone. *Billie Jean (Michael Jackson) This may not be a recent song, but what makes a great wedding reception music? A song that everyone knows and can dance to, and Billie Jean is a perfect example of that! It’s a classic that will be played at weddings forever. Almost everyone knows the lyrics, and even if you’re not in the mood, the beat compels you to get on the dance floor! The song is a crowd-pleaser, regardless of whether your guests are old or young. *Shape of You (Ed Sheeran) Here’s another hit that you, and pretty much everyone else at your wedding, will recognize. Shape of You would definitely be in the top five if there was ever a wedding anthem list. It’s a dance-pop tune that was played almost 7 million times in as a little as a day when released. Ed meets a girl at a bar in the song and is instantly drawn to her; sound familiar? *wink* *wink* A professional Toronto wedding DJ and entertainment company like DJ XTC Entertainment will make your reception the highlight of your wedding day! You’ll love every tune we play for you. We’ll throw a party that will have everyone dancing along throughout your wedding day! Aren’t All DJs The Same?
Most people who are not familiar with the art of DJing would say “A DJ is A DJ is a DJ”.
Many don’t understand why DJ “A” charges $1 and DJ “B” charges $2 for essentially the same job, playing music. Not only are there different skill levels but there are different experience levels as well. Yes, all DJs play music BUT Some DJs only play music Some DJs play music and can make announcements Some DJs play music and are DJ MC’s comfortable with introductions, announcements and the like. Then there are also those few DJs who are DJ Entertainers. Those DJs hone their craft with practice and education to bring you, what I like to call, the complete package. A DJ Entertainer will not only play music & entertain your guests but also help craft and maintain the day’s timeline. They will be the liaise with the venue and other vendors to make sure that the whole day flows smoothly. So the answer is NO, all DJs are not all the same! When you are looking into entertainment for your big day, find the DJ that is going to best execute the dream that you have for your wedding day.

Jumping The Broom
Jumping the broom is an African American wedding tradition that dates back before slavery. It originates in the West African country of Ghana and was brought to North America by slaves. The Asante valued the concept of sweeping away past wrongdoings and previous evil sprits.
Because slaves were unable to perform legal marriages, they adopted this wedding ritual to symbolize their union, to sweep away the old and invite the new. Simply, it is a new beginning. Jumping the broom was not a regular custom amongst all slaves and it was preformed sparingly after emancipation. It was made more common thanks to the book and movie “Roots” by Alex Haley. Current practice is to jump the broom after the minister has announced the couple married. “Jumping the broom” is a phrase still used to refer to getting married even though the act might not have been part of a wedding ceremony. Various other groups like Wiccan, Gypsies and some other religions have also developed their own broom jumping traditions. We would love to hear your thoughts. Embassy Grand Convention Centre
By far one of my favourite Brampton Wedding Venues has to be The Embassy Grand Convention Centre. Our Bride and Groom, Stephanie & Ryan, loved it so much they didn’t just have their wedding reception there but also their buck and doe.
This great venue is surrounded by all the amenities that you could ever want for a wedding venue. There are loads of shops, eateries as well as a hotel steps away from the front door. That is only the outside. Inside the decor is elegantly crafted to suit any style of wedding. My personal favourite piece has to be the staff. Not only courteous but more than willing to go the extra mile to make sure that every single guest has a fantastic visit. If you are looking for a great Brampton Wedding Venue I suggest adding Embassy Grand Convention Centre to your list.

Please feel free to comment below. Stop by and check us out on www.djxtc.net Facebook Twitter Pinterest Instagram Situation 1. Martha was about to get married. On the wedding day, she, her mother, her bridesmaids and her father’s partner went to the beauty parlour to have their hair done. Upon arrival, they have learned that only one stylist was present. The situation created a commotion. The father’s partner, being so vain and inconsiderate was the first to manage her hair done. Of course, the mom and the bridesmaids fumed in anger. Situation 2. Albert was a groom. His father has a current partner. The partner was almost Albert’s age and is obviously just after fun. In short, it was apparent his father’s partner and his dad are just having a fling. Should the partner be invited to the wedding? There you go. Wedding situations can sometimes get really petty. If you are a couple's father’s new partner, consider your position. Do not ruin some people’s precious moments. Do not settle to steal wedding thunders. Adopt a mature stance even just for the wedding occasion. Dilemmas The usual dilemmas couples encounter involving their father’s new partner and their moms will be discussed in this section. Let us consider this situation. Dory’s father has a partner. He threatens that he will not attend or show up at the wedding if his new partner is not be invited. In short, the father wants to display his sexual prowess by tagging along his partner in the wedding. Inviting them both will never be a problem, Dory thought. But the situation got complicated when Dory got to talk to her mother. Telling the mom of her father’s demand, the mother, of course, got really really angry. There will be no way she can be at the wedding if her father will bring along his new squeeze. The world seems too tight for the three people. What should Dory do? It is like asking her who she loves more, her father or her mother? Adhering to the wedding etiquettes, Dory should not choose one. She should instead strategize to avoid being made to choose. As a wedding etiquette, fathers and mothers should be in the wedding. For Dory’s case, she just told her mom and dad that they would not want to ruin the occasion just because of a tiny dispute. It worked. Of course, the mom, the dad, and his new partner will never get along, but Dory made sure the three will not meet face to face during the occasion. That way, the wedding moved smoothly. No cakes were thrown and no one screamed at each other. What if the father’s partner's long-term? Couple's father’s partners are not always on the downside. Sometimes there are those who are meant or intended to be long time partners. If that is the case, wedding etiquettes have it that the partner be invited to the wedding. Anyways, she will be a part of the family soon so she should start her function early. Make sure the ex-wife and the current partner of the couple's father know that each other would attend so both of them will not be surprised. Remember, it is during surprising moments that hot-tempered people act impulsively. Short-term or flings If the father’s partner is apparently just a fling or just a short-term relationship, and if the father’s divorce with the mom is not yet through, explain to the father the situation. Tell him the sanctity of marriage will be symbolized in the ceremony. Tell him, though it may sound not really nice, that bringing in a date especially since he is not yet totally divorced would degrade the solemnity and sanctity of the sacrament. Explain that whether you dislike his partner or you do like her, people will still see him married to the mother. So he should spare his partner from embarrassment by not bringing her along. The partner might just feel that she is not invited to the wedding anyways. Of course it is very possible that Mom is the one with the new partner and all the points mentioned would adhere to her new partner as well. Parents should be more understanding because they are assumed to be more mature and wise. Thus, if you are a wedding couple in those situations, find the strength to deal with the matter with grace and patience. Be diplomatic and talk it out. This will save you your wedding day. Your Wedding Theme
Whether it’s a traditional, formal or off-the-beaten-track wedding, you’re putting the whole event together yourself by planning its every phase. These days, with so much available on the Internet, it’s easy! All you need is some time and a clear idea of the feeling you want to get across.
Start with a theme and you’ll have a coherent image you can use throughout the entire wedding. You may be surprised, in fact, how potent just a word or concept can be, once applied as your marriage theme. Love angels, for example? What could be more perfect than finding ways to incorporate angels in every phase of your wedding? From the flowers to the guest favours to the vows, you can find a way to carry out the theme through the entire event. Is it to be a casual wedding of two Renaissance types? The Renaissance theme is compatible with the wedding ritual, and makes for an unforgettable event. Getting married on February the fourteenth? Hearts and flowers are perhaps the most traditional and best beloved of all wedding themes! When you’re planning your wedding, save time to choose the music with care. Get together with whoever is providing the music and talk about the right pieces for the two of you. There is nothing that sets the tone like music, and your wedding music will live in your memories for the rest of your lives. The rings, the vows, the wardrobe all the choices you must make to create an intimately personal expression of your love, are made so much easier by following a theme. But the idea behind it all is what counts. You can choose one word to describe the spirit you wish to be your wedding, as if the coming together of two hearts creates a separate entity with one quality. Is it joy? Is it contentment? Is it a giddy, bubbly, mirthful adoration? Pick a word or a phrase and keep it in mind. It’ll tie everything together and make the experience more perfect. And your wedding theme can become a foundation throughout your marriage. For your wedding. For each other. For your life. Please feel free to comment below. Getting Married On The BeachDepending on the weather, a beach wedding can be a unique and memorable occasion that has flair and casualness yet retains the romantic aspect of the freedom of being able to get away to the beach and do as you please. It is also an opportunity to have a wedding that people will remember without the expense that is associated with booking a reception venue and the other expenses that go hand in hand with more formal weddings. You will need to choose a location where you will be able to have your wedding ceremony without the intrusion of outsiders who could affect your plans and there are other factors that you need to consider including who your guests will be and how they will cope with the conditions as some elderly guests might find it a little bit difficult on the beach. There are of course always solutions to these problems and most of them are relatively cheap. If you are living in an area where there are beautiful beaches within a reasonable distance from yourself, your friends and your family then it is well worth considering a beach wedding because the beach in itself will add beauty to the occasion. If you cannot rely 100% on the weather then you will need to look at alternative venues should the weather make it unsuitable for you to have your beach wedding. You will also need to consider the tide times and whether or not there will be sufficient room on the beach for the wedding party to perform the ceremony suitably. Like any other venue good planning and preparation will make all the difference on the day and even though a beach wedding is a very casual affair there is still certain planning that needs to go into ensuring that there won't be any problems with that particular setup. www.djxtc.net Facebook Twitter Pinterest Instagram

Wedding Reception SeatingSeating during your wedding reception is more important than it seems. You want your guests to feel comfortable and, for that, seating is critical. You can shape how much fun everyone has, since you can choose the best seating positions for your guests. To begin your wedding reception seating plan, you will first need to know how many tables you will set up at your wedding reception, as well as how many chairs will be at each table. To find this out, contact your wedding reception facility and make sure to also ask them for a chart of where the tables will be at your wedding reception. Although your seating chart should be prepared early, you shouldn’t finalize it until about two weeks prior to the date of your wedding reception. Place card holders are not only attractive decorations, but they provide a great way to help your wedding guests with the seating. Your guests should be able to quickly find their seat. Each card should have the guest’s or couple’s names. Seat people with similar interests at the same table. Think of a unique and fun way to identify each table. Seat wedding guest of similar ages together. Seat family members who don't see each other often to help them catch up on the latest family matters. You should only seat family members together, if they like each other! Seat an even number of guests at each table. Seat your wedding reception guests who enjoy dancing close to the dance floor. To avoid possible conflicts, divorced parents should have their own tables. Seat them separately with their respective family members. Keep small children next to their parents unless there is a designated children's room or table with a caregiver. Don’t worry about a seating chart for a cocktails only the wedding reception. If it is a very small party, you can skip the seating chart altogether. For a formal dinner reception, a seating chart is essential. Don’t wait until the last minute to decide who should sit at which table. As you can see, proper seating is hard work, and it requires careful planning. We would love to hear your thoughts. www.djxtc.net Facebook Twitter Pinterest Instagram

Jewish Wedding Traditions
The Jewish faith is one that is deeply rooted in tradition. A traditional Jewish wedding follows a number of beautiful traditions that date back for thousands of years. The traditions include the signing of the Ketubah, the use of the chuppah as well as traditional dances that are performed at the wedding. The rings exchanged during a Jewish wedding also have traditional connotations.
The signing of the Ketubah is the traditional start to a Jewish wedding ceremony. The Ketubah is a written agreement that not only asserts that the bride is not already married but also outlines the expectations that the couple hold for each other in the marriage. This ornate document can later be framed and prominently displayed in the couple’s home as a reminder of their commitment. After the bride and groom have signed the Ketubah, the groom takes one final look at his bride before lowering her veil and beginning the wedding procession. This tradition has biblical roots and recalls the story of Jacob who married the wrong woman because she was veiled and he did not realize his mistake in time. The wedding party traditionally precedes the couple in the wedding procession. The bride and groom then proceed down the aisle together accompanied by both of their parents to symbolize that their union includes the union of both families and not just the bride and the groom. The couple ends their procession under a traditional canopy called a chuppah. This canopy symbolizes that God is present and that he is sheltering and protecting the couple. After the couple exchanges their wedding vows, a Rabbi reads 7 traditional blessings. After the blessings the groom steps on a wine glass to break the glass in a symbol of human frailty and the suffering that members of the Jewish faith have endured and this with a final blessing from the rabbi concludes the ceremony. Unlike other traditional weddings, there is usually not a receiving line at the conclusion of a Jewish wedding. Tradition holds that the couple spends a few minutes alone immediately following the wedding so many members of the Jewish faith honour this tradition by leaving the ceremony immediately and waiting until the reception to offer their well wishes to the couple. This togetherness time was traditionally an opportunity for the couple to consummate the marriage but in modern times it is more of chance for the couple to reflect on their wedding ceremony and the start of their life together before the chaos of the wedding. Even the rings that a couple exchanges during a Jewish wedding have traditional values. Tradition holds that the couple exchange very simple rings that are devoid of gems, engravings or other distinguishing marks. With nothing to distinguish the beginning or the end of the ring, it is a beautiful symbol of a love that endures forever with no clear beginning or end. This symbolizes both the couples love for each other as well as Godís love for his people. A traditional Jewish wedding reception features many dances. An energetic dance called the Hora is performed at many traditional Jewish weddings. In this dance the bride and groom hold a handkerchief between them while they are seated in chairs and hoisted into the air by their guests. This dance is a celebration of the bride and groom and recognizes the significance of their union. If this wedding represents the last son or daughter of one of the parents to be married there are a few more traditional dances that may take place. If the bride was the last in her family to be married, she and her sisters may honour their mother in a tradition known as Krenzi. The mother is crowned with flowers and her daughters honour her in the form of dance. Also, if either the bride or groom was the youngest to be married both of the parents will be honoured through the Mizinke dance. In this tradition all of the guests circle the parents and shower them with flowers and praise. The Jewish faith is a faith that is full of history and tradition. Many couples and their guests choose to honour these traditions by incorporating them into their wedding ceremony and reception. Many of these traditions are the defining moments of the celebration and they lend an atmosphere of historical significance to the wedding.
