4 Tips to Keep Your Guests on Their Feet All Night

So, are you still looking for the perfect DJ that will throw one fantastic party at your wedding?
We’re here to help!

Before we begin, though, we want to mention that these tips for getting people on the dance floor during your wedding are based on how we like to run our events here at DJ XTC Entertainment!
We’re not saying that if you don’t tick all of these four boxes, your guests won’t get on the dance floor, but they’ll give you a great head start!

Have A Few “Get Up And Get Down” Songs

Everyone loves to hit up the dance floor when their favourite song comes on, so why not plan for a few of those? Some songs that tend to do well as wedding “get up and get down” songs include:
- Thrift Shop by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Wanz - Counting Stars by OneRepublic - Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars...and a lot more!

Get Your Guests Involved

Make sure to communicate with your DJ about how you want them to get your guests involved. Some things we like to do include:

- Having the DJ announce a dance contest (best dancer, best dressed, etc.) as early as possible in the night
- Playing games such as Never Have I Ever or Things You Should Have Learned in School
- Adding interactive games or the shoe game

Keep Guests Entertained Between Sets

If you’re dancing one song after another without any breaks, your guests will eventually get tired of dancing and start looking for things to do. So how can you keep them occupied?
